Search Engines don't spider signature links anymore?

I understand that the SEs can't spider links in signatures anymore? Does anyone know anything about this or has anyone else heard this?

the signature links are spidered on most forums, however, there are forums like Sitepoint which user no follow tag on the signature links and their signatures are not followed in SE spiders -- This message may have been cut off and the rest will only be shown to members. I have seen that signature links are spidered only on Vbulletin based forums and it is helpful only with some popular higher PR forums. Even at my forum I had seen msn spidering signature links.
