using the marquee tag

Will search engines index the links in a marquee tag?

I made a test for that once and the result was negative.

I kept a link in a marquee tag for about 1 year but google didn't show it in the serps when i checked for it, though it also might be because the low percentage of back links shown by google. -- This message may have been cut off and the rest will only be shown to members. Your two most important tags are the title tag and keyowrds tag everything else doesn't really matter.

I think Search Engines don't consider marquee tags, otherwise it would have been so easy to stuff all your keywords in marquee.
