Should i get links to my sub-pages also?

Hi forum, Plese help

I am a bit confused , as i have been doing seo like this all the time , i was making a site and getting links to that website with the keywords i am targetting... but i have read in some posts that i need to get backlinks to the sub-pages also ..

For example if i make a site (using a CMS) with hundreds of pages and i get links with the keywords i am targetting , is this enough? The main page has some content about the keyword i am targetting but the sub-pages also have .. will the sub-pages get neglected? -- This message may have been cut off and the rest will only be shown to members. If your subpages are well linked with each other then they wont be neglected. You can create a sitemap and submit it to google etc for better indexing.

If you can manage to get some backlinks for your subpages, it'll be better, but it isn't mandatory.

If i have a site with 1000 pages with all aiming same keywords , i should get backlinks to all of them ?
