high links but not listed

Hello pals

I am new here and I am just learning. I found a site that has a high link popularity but this site is not listed in the search engines but this site still gets traffic. How? I hope this is not a stupid question. If it is, let me know. Very curious as to how a site has a high link popularity but is not listed in the search engines or does not have a page rank either. But is still getting traffic.

This site also only has 402 back links. Maybe this site has alot of one way links?

High link popularity by whose standards? I wouldn't personally consider ~400 links to be a high number, depending of course upon how you're coming up with that number. As you'll likely read here as soon as you do a bit more digging around the forums, if you're using Google's link: command you're asking for trouble in trying to make any assessment. It only shows a sampling of links they know about and there is little rhyme or reason to what it shows many times.

As to why the site isn't ranking well, there is a lot more that goes into getting a site to rank than simply getting a few hundred backlinks. Especially if the links are at all shaky on the Quality side of things.

Getting traffic from search engines is only one method.

I have 1 site that had about 100000 visitors in april and It's not indexed in Google.
