creating directory like website!!!!

An idea popped up in my mind from nowhere that i should create a website with outbound links to other sites directory style and incorporting Adsense. i have thought of a very attractive domain name that would fit this style of site perfectly and be very marketable.
what do you all think about this idea
should i go ahead or drop the idea
