Duplicate Content / Indexing - DeIndexing and Rankings

The things about the duplicate content are not much clear, but i wish to ask the members on the forum and also to present my point regarding the issue. I strongly believe that the article submission thing helps a website to get good ranking and atleast to get a nice PR and some back links.

Recently, i did article marketing for a new website of mine and submitted 10 articles to nearly 40 main web directories. Now these articles were indexed and i saw around 350 results in search engines within 10 days for the article.

After 30 days, there were 1000 Plus results shown on Google. But after 10 days from that, the results started decreasing. And today, after 50 days, the results shown in Google are only 200

I can not confirm about the backlinks google will count as i am not able to see this data till the next backlink update on G.

Now, what i feel is that

I do not see much positive from article submission. But at the same time i will say that it will not cause any harm.

this is not very good these days, i have seen the times when article marketing was very helpful.

Now with many MFA sites showing the content, things are not that interesting anymore.

Content spamming and keyword spamming will affect your website status very negatively. There are people stealing contents from article submission websites and posting onto Websites and blogs.
