Hi,
I was working on one press release site. I was just mugging about how to come into "google news".
Some criterias I know is:
Good content.
Daily updation.
No spell mistake.
And some rumours:
5 digits in url.
5 editors & authors.etc.

So any one knows the real scenario behind this.

My brother-in-law's site was added into Google News on the condition that the URLs were changed from /news-story-headline.html to /01234.html. If you sugguest your site to google they will get back to you within 48 hours advising of any problems....
With my site they said their system could not crawl the content as our URLs were /news/category/news-title-here and they advised changing it to
/news/category/news-title-here/123.html
basically they require you to have at least 3 unique numbers withing the url...
something_1234.html would also be fine i believe.
They ended the email by saying that if we are able to make this change they will notice it on the next crawl and we should appear in google news shortly after.... so we made the change and 4 days later we appeared...
Now if we post any news its on google news within 15 mins.
