directory submission value

i have been asked many a times about how much a directory listing is worth. i think its a good idea to get listed in relevant categories in some nice directories.
it can give a nice PR boost
can even be used to target keywords
above all, it can be considered as one way link as some directories dont need backlink.

i will prefer it for any new website

What are your views ??

i suggest this to all clients of mine.
