would you pay $5 to a PR 0 website for featured links, or 35$ for a website which have inner pages with a PR 5+.Its alright that you don't have a good PR as chris, or jeff ... but here is my thoughts about how business should be done.If you don't have something constructive to say, then its better not to say anything.
I think alive and aviva definately worth the money. I would buy a link there rather than buying 10 other PR 2 links for that amount.
You know why... pick up your calculator do the log, and it will show you

I have submitted probably 3-4 sites to Alive directory and Aviva Directory. The benefit to having these links is SEO in my opinion. If you are a directory owner submitting your site, then it may help the traffic you get from them. But when it comes down to it, it is an easy way to get a targetted link.
An example is a site I ONLY promoted to directories and is now on the front page of Yahoo and MSN for my keywords. On the second page of Google. to the people who are thinking of not submitting payment to Alive directory etc , think of it .... if people like Chris thought the same way when he started promoting ..... he would not have arived with the PR7 today , nor get 34 USD from so many people .
Whats more , once the directory boom settles down , i dont expect as many directories as there are today to remain . At that time , i would feel quite happy to have solid one way link back from powerful directory like these ones. hmm.. I added my site to alive directory and let me tell you why. One important point I might make is that this is a permanent link. The company has done quite well and has made a name for itself as you can see from its many "fans" so i expect it to stay around.
The main reason I chose to put a link there is for the SEO benefit of having my link with proper anchor text on a PR4 page permanently. I also expect the internal pages PR to raise over time.
A second reason is that my company deals with sales large enough that if i get a single sale, ever, then it will at the least pay for the link, and at the most pay for a link times 10 or 20. -- This message may have been cut off and the rest will only be shown to members.
