still not listed on DMOZ

Hello everybody

I have submitted my url to Dmoz about 1 year ago.
I followed all the rules and guidelines, I have asked several experts on this subject to check my url submission before I submitted and they all said it was fine.
But still nothing! Not listed.
My site compares to all the sites already listed in my category but yet I cannot get listed.

The funny thing is that there have been sites who are not as old as mine (just several months old) and they are listed already in the same exact category I have been trying to get listed for a year now.

The funny thing is a person who owns about 6 or so of same type industry site for this category has every one of his sites got listed in the same category as I have been trying for. The point here is several of his sites are just a few months old.

From the editor side, if we could determine the age of a site (which we can't easily -- sometimes you can guess based on exploring the Internet Archive) the age of a site is irrelevant (let alone the age of a site suggestion -- which is a COMPLETELY different thing, and would be even more irrelevant if it were possible.) And let's not even mention that the only date of a site suggestion that we know is the LATEST suggestion of that site in that category -- which is even more irrelevant (if possible) than the date of FIRST suggestion.
So all that doesn't suggest anything one way or another: because editors ignore what is either irrelevant and incalculable (which anyone could have told you), and all those things are both irrelevant AND incalculable. So editors certainly NEVER review sites in order of site creation OR of first site suggestion! (What, never? Well, unless by accident: it is less likely than winning the lottery.)

I'm usually the one who chimes in with the "you may think it's abuse for your site suggestion not to be processed for a year, but it actually isn't" refrain.
However, in this case, if this editor has six mirrors of his website in the same category, that IS abuse, and please do report it. If it turns out that editor has also been deleting your submissions or something of the sort, that will be corrected in the course of the investigation. -- This message may have been cut off and the rest will only be shown to members.
