I don't think it matters to SEOs. What comes before the . does affect ranking/SEO, from personal experience. -- This message may have been cut off and the rest will only be shown to members. To become a member, click here --

Extension doesn't matter for SEO (unless a specific region / country extension which may make a difference). -- This message may have been cut off and the rest will only be shown to members. To become a member, click here --

.com is much preferable and suggested one. Its also depend on your requirement for example if you are looking to run any commercial site then definitely go for .com
and else .info to provide the information like wise you know already... -- This message may have been cut off and the rest will only be shown to members. To become a member, click here --

Any will be fine as far as SE's go. Use .com if you plan to generate a lot of type-in traffic -- This message may have been cut off and the rest will only be shown to members. To become a member, click here --

.com because it's the universal TLD and people will type that in as default if they remember the main part of your domain. And Universal TLD's like .com, .net, .biz don't matter towards SEO, .de, .co.uk make a huge difference

I've read .info has a slight advantage in the SERPs, could't confirm this though. -- This message may have been cut off and the rest will only be shown to members. To become a member, click here --

hmmm, sounds strange why the .info would rank better if what you say dcristo is true as the .com is THE TLD, if you say domain, you think .com lol -- This message may have been cut off and the rest will only be shown to members. To become a member, click here --
