As I said, take it with a grain of salt. .info is associated with informational sites so it wouldn't surprise me if they did. We are talking a very small factor here anyway. -- This message may have been cut off and the rest will only be shown to members. To become a member, click here --

yeah yeah, I already had my helping of salt lol, that does actually make sense, but even wikipedia isn't .info and wikipedia is information of course, .gov and .ac sites hold the most weight IMO. I'll definately keep that in mind tho for the .info -- This message may have been cut off and the rest will only be shown to members. To become a member, click here --

I doubt that a search engine would make this association. You can't determine the content of a site from its TLD. There are plenty of examples around of online shops that use .info TLD's and they aren't what I'd call 'informational'. -- This message may have been cut off and the rest will only be shown to members. Cheap domains are the sign of spam. Give me an example of a .info ranking for a decent search term. -- This message may have been cut off and the rest will only be shown to members. To become a member, click here --

I have several .info sites that are new but are doing very well. Let's make this clear. My sites are not information sites. They are sites focussed on products sales. -- This message may have been cut off and the rest will only be shown to members. To become a member, click here --

Mate I can't agree with that at all. NewYork.info selling for close to 50K just goes to show .info is on the way up. There are alternatives to everything you choose to buy as a consumer. Why not with domains? Every webmaster can't afford to spend bucketloads just to have a decent domain. This is just one example and does not show anything about .info domains.
This site does well. It has a .info TLD. Therefore .info TLDs have an advantage. Wrong conclusion. -- This message may have been cut off and the rest will only be shown to members. To become a member, click here --

Here in Australia companies are jumping on .info, for example cityrail.info I'm sure the US is as well, as there about 5 years ahead of us
