yeah, You can send and receive e-mail messages by using your Google Gmail e-mail account and Outlook. Gmail requires a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encrypted connection when you retrieve and send e-mail.
You have to set pop and smtp server to :--
pop.gmail.com
smtp.gmail.com
With gmail, they have you enter specific port numbers for eac of the incoming POP3 servers, and the outgoing SMTP servers-and they also want you to check the box to use authentication. If you have trouble, Google "configuring Outlook with GMail." Click on the gmail.google.com/help link. It brings up pictures and instructions, it's great.
