Default Second Extra Hard Drive as a Backup Option!!

hi. i was looking at a few liquidweb servers. one had RAID level 1 available, but then it also gave me the option of having a second Hard drive as a backup as well as extra 50gig FTP Space.

But with Raid 1 you have 2 Hard Drives each mirroring each other so if one gets screwed up the server can still run from the second HD Correct? so, if RAID is present on the srever is it actually Worth getting the Second Extra Hard Drive as a Backup Option? -- This message may have been cut off and the rest will only be shown to members.
