Why not add a decent description tag to each page that highlites what you want to be indexed? Gives you better indexing, more keywords, and lets searches know what the page is rather then a sentence of two that can be taken out of context.If you're using a dynamic site, it should be even easier to generate a unique description based on what the page is actually displaying.
If you can do this, the description tag may not get you ranked higher, but it will aid your visitors in finding what they want when they look at the SE's results.
